Apple to make macOS Sierra available as automatic download
beginning today (October 3, 2016)
  http://www.loopinsight.com/2016/10/03/apple-to-make-macos-sierra-available-as-automatic-download-beginning-today/

It's important to note that this is not an automatic
installer--this process will only download the update in the
background, and then alert you that it is available to
install. You can choose to install it when it is convenient.
You can also choose to ignore the update.

The update will only be downloaded on computers that meet
the specs for macOS Sierra, so if you have an older
computer, you will not receive the download.

Upgrade Requirements for macOS Sierra 10.12

How to Upgrade
o Your personal files are backed up, right?
o Open App Store on your Mac and Download macOS Sierra.

o When the download is complete an installer will come up.
Connect your charger during the installation. You will
probably need to enter your computer's password. When the
installation is complete you may be asked for your Apple
ID/password. You may be asked if you want iCloud Drive,
etc. You don't need to use iCloud Drive if you haven't
     been using it!

Things I really appreciate about modern Macs:
o Power management efficiency (extra battery life - laptops)
o New, deeper level of system security
  o Safari Reader - Outstanding!
o Wiggle mouse or finger on trackpad to find cursor
  o Siri on the Mac

o Apple Pay is now compatible with your Mac
