UUFA Sunday Morning Program Committee

The Sunday Morning Program Committee (SMPC) plans and implements
year-round Sunday morning services during times when our
minister doesn't speak. The committee works with our minister to
facilitate and to plan shared programs. Members arrange for
speakers from within and from outside the Fellowship.

        FACILITATOR DUTIES ON SUNDAY

o Arrive a half hour before the (first) service.

o Help with setup as necessary -- chalice table, tea light, etc.

o Ensure the speaker(s) have water and are comfortable.

o Ensure the speaker(s), musician(s) and other participants
have an order of service and are briefed as to their
           parts in the service.

o Ring the chime about two minutes before the hour. If you
are late, the service starts late and will likely end late.

o Close the sliding door -- This is a symbol of creating
           sacred space for the service.

o Enjoy contributing to the service! People appreciate a
well flowing service and they will forgive your blunders.
You can be professional and have fun!

o After the service, open the sliding door -- receive folks
as they exit. After the last service help clean up and
put away and/or take care of guest presenter(s).
