Youth ConferenceUnity in Diversity

Young people ages 12–18 (grades 7–12) are especially encouraged to attend the youth portion of the Priaire Star District 2005 Annual Conference. Conference participation isn’t limited to adults! Come to the Twin Cities this year and make sure that your voice is heard on the issues that matter to you!
Youth participants will stay at Unity Church–Unitarian and participate in regular conference activities, plus take part in additional programming designed with young people in mind. This is a great opportunity for young UUs to get to know others from around Prairie Star District.
Additional events for young people will be held at Unity Church–Unitarian. Youth will lead the Saturday night worship service.
Each youth attending must have a sponsor from their congregation who will also be attending the conference. Sponsor responsibilities include attending the Friday night orientation session, maintaining contact with youth, and supporting youth during the weekend.
Young attendees must also agree to the guidelines listed below.
Youth Conference Guidelines
- This is a non-smoking conference.
- Alcohol, drugs (except prescriptions), weapons, violence, and sexual activity are not permitted under any circumstances.
- Any one member of our community is empowered and encouraged to voice his or her opinions, objections, or concerns at any time. People and property are to be treated with respect.
- Inappropriate, demeaning, derogatory, or offensive behavior will be unacceptable.
Youth Conference Registration
